Biking in Calgary

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

I went biking today along the Bow River. I had planned to start near Edworthy Park, go through downtown, go past Inglewood Bird Sanctuary, go past Carburn Park, go through Fish Creek Park, and then proceed to Weaselhead and finally head back to Edworthy Park. That would have been a great trip, but unfortunately I only got as far as Carburn Park where I learned the the bike path has been washed out south of Carburn Park. Many of trails in Calgary have been washed out with the recent floods.

The Calgary City Maps that show the bike paths do not indicate which paths are blocked. If you are going biking, be prepared to make changes.

Still, it was a great day to be outside and enjoy the summer weather.
