Speaking of Microsoft Excel

I am going to recommend two excellent programs that I use with Microsoft Excel. First is FastExcel. As its name implies, this program will help you make your spreadsheet considerably faster by providing a set of tools to analyse and time your workbooks, online help and advice on how to eliminate many frequently occurring bottlenecks, and a Worksheet Flow Optimizing tool. If you do serious Excel Spreadsheet work, this software package is an absolute must. FastExcel also contains a superb program called The Name Manager.

Charles Williams is the creator of FastExcel.

And second is The Name Manager, which can be downloaded for free. MS Excel's ability to manage range names is poor. I always use range names whenever possible because I find range names reduces errors and helps me to quickly understand formulas. If you use range names, this program is an absolute must.

Jan Karel Pieterse and Charles Williams are the creators of The Name Manager.

I use FastExcel (which, again, contains The Name Manager) whenever I use Excel. I simply cannot say enough positive about both programs. I am sure if you try the programs, you will find them extremely useful as well.
